Little Table

Here's a small project, but it was actually quite labor intensive. This is a little side table that my sister and I sadly decoupaged in our youth. Each leg was covered with primary colored magazine clippings. BLEH!

I often grimaced at this piece of furniture sitting in my parents house, and I finally decided to give it a new life. The first step was to strip all the decoupaged legs, which was the most difficult process. The next day I came down with an terrible cold and quietly blamed the labor I put into that ugly table. After I had recovered from my sickness, and finally my annoyance with the piece, I pushed on to the fun part. I painted it a bright kelly green (in chalk paint) and finished it with some dark wax. I'm happy to say, this table now makes me smile: fugly to fun!
